Which Of These 5 Crypto Investors Are You?

In the crypto world, there are different stages in the investment process, but there are also different types of crypto investors. From the beginners to the big crypto whales, here are five crypto investors, and I’m leaving you to judge which one of these five crypto investors are you.

According to Ideas.repec.org, cryptocurrency investors are active traders, prone to investment biases, and hold risky portfolios.

5 Types of Crypto Investors

1. The Beginner:

Everyone in the crypto world started as a crypto newbie or beginner. The beginners are the ones who just joined the crypto world after hearing about it for a while. They are new to it and not sure where to start.

They are excited about the investment journey and are looking at what coins to buy.

2. The HODLer:

HODL means “Hold On For Dear Life.” This person holds on to their crypto coins no matter what the crypto market is saying with high hopes that the coin’s value will increase.

The HODLer has accepted that it is not a get-rich-quick scheme, and they are in it for the long haul.

3. The Trader:

By using careful analysis to take advantage of profit-making trades when they present themselves, the trader is both an opportunist and an intellectual. A good trader always tries to stay cool, calm, and collected, even though it’s easy to get excited in crypto.

4. The Crypto Native:

The crypto native is the person who has been into crypto for the longest time even before the hype started. They were there when Decentralised Finance (DeFi) was only talked about and was not a reality. They have experienced the various crypto market cycles and they have extensive experience. Besides learning how to make money as an investor, they’ve also learned how to contribute to the crypto community in a meaningful manner.

5. The Crypto Whale:

According to investopedia, a crypto whale is a cryptocurrency community term that refers to individuals or entities that hold large amounts of cryptocurrency. Whales hold enough cryptocurrency that they have the potential to manipulate currency valuations.

Some of the most popular crypto holders with large amounts of crypto are Sam Bankman-Fried, Micheal Saylor, and Brian Armstrong.

Conclusion

Knowing which category you fall into is actually important. This is because every crypto investor type has a certain type of strategy they adopt. Identifying what type you are makes you use the appropriate tools and resources needed for your investment strategy.
